Shellac – Handmade & Machinemade

Shellac – Nature’s Finest Resin, Perfected for Premium Performance

At Shellac Exports, we are a merchant exporter that partners with top manufacturers from across India to supply high-quality Shellac and its derivatives. Our Shellac products are available in two main types—Handmade and Machine Made—and are used in a variety of industries including woodworking, food coatings, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and more.

Our Shellac offerings are categorized into:

  • Handmade Shellac
  • Machine Made Shellac

Each type is produced using specialized methods that ensure traditional quality or modern consistency based on your application needs.

HANDMADE SHELLAC

Handmade Shellac is made using time-honored techniques. Seedlac is first filled into a long, narrow cloth bag and held in front of a charcoal oven to melt the lac. The molten lac is then scraped out, thoroughly mixed for uniformity, and transferred onto a smooth porcelain cylinder as a block of molten lac. This artisanal process produces Shellac with a distinctive character and quality.
